Recent research has proven that the highest performing teams have something very important in common that is imperative to their success; the teams all have a high degree of psychological safety.  In other words, the individuals on the team feel safe to take risks without fear of judgment.  Based on the latest neuroscience research, you will learn the reasons why creating and fostering psychological safety is so critical.  You will also walk away with an understanding of the S.A.F.E.T.Y.TM model for understanding how to implement psychological safety to increase performance and engagement both personally and within your organization.

Heather Esposito is a Senior Learning Strategist with Herman Miller and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation.  She is also a:

  • Results Certified Coach through the NeuroLeadership Institute
  • Conversational Intelligence Certified Coach (C-IQ Certified Coach) through the World Business and Executive Coach Summit, and
  • Stage 1 and 2 SAFETY Accredited provider through the Academy for Brain-Based Leadership

Heather has been in Sales and Learning and Development for the last 23 years.  In the last 5 years, she has focused much of her work around the neuroscience of quality conversations, growth mindset, and psychological safety while serving as an internal coach for sales leaders and business executives. 

Heather lives in Metairie with her husband and her two daughters, Mattie, 17, and Amelia, 13.  Her son, Jorden, 20, resides in Salt Lake City and is a ballet dancer with Ballet West.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafts, and traveling.
