I joined the Human Resources team at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in 2010. I lead and enhance the Center’s customer care and employee engagement program, SPICE, and develop the talent within the building. I implement new and innovative ways to educate and engage the building's 500+ employees and develop, coach and motivate the team.
My background in the food service industry is extensive. Most recently, I served as Director of Training for Sonic Drive-Ins, where I oversaw employee education in forty-three franchised locations in Southwest Louisiana. I also developed training programs as the Learning Manager for Chili’s Grill & Bar, and was a Training Operations Consultant and Incentives Manager for McDonald’s USA, where I provided employee guidance on McDonald’s operating standards, management tools and systems to maximize restaurant performance.
Prior to working in the food service industry, I leveraged my passion for education as a high school teacher and university lecturer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sam Houston State University, and my graduate work focused on nonverbal communication and rhetorical studies.
I am an avid reader, active foster/adoptive parent, crafter, and home improvement enthusiast. My husband and I live in Madisonville and parent 2 dogs, 4 cats, and one precious little boy.
