Kelli joined the Human Resources team at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in 2010. She leads and enhances the Center’s customer care and employee engagement program, SPICE, and develops the talent within the building. She is tasked with implementing new and innovative ways to educate and engage the building's 500+ employees and to develop, coach and motivate the team.
Prior to her work at the Center, she served in multiple training capacities for Sonic Drive-Ins, Chili's Grill & Bar, and McDonald's USA. In these roles, Kelli developed training programs, provided employee guidance on operating standards, taught multiple leadership courses, and coached leaders to use tools and systems to maximize restaurant performance.
Prior to working in the food service industry, she leveraged her passion for education as a high school teacher and university lecturer. Kelli holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sam Houston State University, and her graduate work focused on nonverbal communication and rhetorical studies.
Kelli is an avid reader, active foster/adoptive parent, crafter, and home improvement enthusiast. She lives in Madisonville with her husband and together they parent 2 dogs, 4 cats, and one precious little boy.
